British Airways and Lufthansa Introduce Upgraded Business Class Seats

British Airways is getting ready to showcase its all-new business class seats, which are expected to make their debut this summer on British’s first A350 aircraft. Dubbed the Club Suite, these seats provide direct aisle access plus a suite door and flat bed seat options.

A major feature of the Club Suite that should be welcome among frequent business travelers is the greater amount of storage space, which has been upgraded by more than forty percent. Furthermore, the suite includes Wi-Fi technology and modern conveniences such as USB power plus large 18-inch screens for in-flight entertainment.

Lufthansa is also getting ready to unveil its upgraded business seats. One of the major upgrades is the direct aisle access over existing cabins. Similar to British, the seats will be provided in a 1-2-1 configuration, though Lufthansa will also boast an alternating 1-1-1 configuration. These 1-1-1 rows will include a “throne” seat situated right in the middle of the cabin which will provide a copious amount of working space to remain productive while on a long flight.
