American Airlines Adds More Flights to JFK

Some good news for future business travelers flying on American Airlines from Richmond International Airport has emerged. The airline recently announced its intentions to add a trio of daily nonstop roundtrip flights between the airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. The move is at least partially intended to spur greater access to European markets.

American does not provide flights to JFK from Richmond. Anyone wishing to fly the airline must book a flight to New York’s LaGuardia Airport, to which American provides five nonstop flights each day. This can create unnecessary complications and delays as it requires a traveler to use public transportation such as a bus or taxi if, for example, they intend to fly internationally from JFK using American Airlines.

Currently, business travelers must rely on Delta Air Lines to navigate between Richmond and JFK, where it provides three daily flights. The airline also flies to La Guardia five times a day.

The new American Airlines flights between Richmond International Airport to JFK are expected to begin on November 21st, just in time for the busy holiday travel season.
