Our Model

Recognizing the gap between large technology driven agencies and smaller boutique agencies that rely strictly on concierge-style service, we have leveraged it by investing significant resources into developing the capabilities of large travel management companies. What developed as a result is a unique corporate travel management services model where we offer clients the most cost-effective and efficient travel management tools available without sacrificing excellent service, expert knowledge and decades of experience that has defined what Brickell Travel Management is today.

Meet the BTM Team

Maikel Rodriguez, CEO

Maikel1Maikel Rodriguez has BAs in both Finance and International Business from Florida International University. He has been working in the travel industry for over 20 years. While at university, he began working part time at a travel agency, wore many hats and truly learned the business from the inside out, developing a passion for the travel industry and deciding to pursue a career in travel. Armed with a new vision, he launched Brickell Travel Management in 2009, aiming to provide the personalized service of a boutique travel agency with a commitment to offering the latest technological tools in order to improve the traveler experience. Maikel believes that in order to succeed, one must act locally and think globally, providing travelers a unified global service while creating value through specific industry knowledge and superior customer service. Maikel is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Meet Maikel

Mitch Rodriguez, President

Mitch2cMitch Rodriguez began playing soccer professionally at age 16 for the All Boys in Argentina. During his 9 years as a professional soccer player, Mitch traveled extensively throughout South America and Europe, developing a passion for travel and an attraction to new cultures. Arriving back in Miami at age 26, he joined his brother Maikel at Brickell Travel. He believes that at the heart of BTM’s success is the spirit of family, both within the company and extending that towards clients, where everyone can work towards the same goal while anticipating the needs of BTM travelers and achieving consistent growth. Mitch is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Business Development

Our Business and Development team has extensive experience within the Business Travel industry. Their main function is to serve as the primary point of contact for our clients, as well as provide consulting services and guide them through identifying their needs, designing a travel program that fits those by identifying areas of improvement, and the implementation phase of their customized travel program. The ultimate goal is to add value to travel program by ensuring you make the most of every cent you spend on travel.

Our team of multilingual agents are fully certified, with years of experience supporting business travelers. We invest in our travel agents, making sure they travel and get to know our products and services, all so they can have the know-how to anticipate clients needs and provide superior customer service. By assigning a small team of travel advisors to every single client, there is always someone available to assist with booking travel, providing valuable knowledge and recommendations, and prompt solutions to any inconveniences our travelers may encounter.

Our Quality Control department is responsible for the technological implementation of new programs, tools and software. All our processes are geared towards everyday excellence for our customers. Our Quality Control Department uses the latest technologies to screen all reservations booked by our Travel Advisors or via our online booking solution to ensure accurate data and accounting. Our software is customized to your organization, maximizing efficiencies, monitoring all travel policy parameters and driving cost savings to your travel program’s bottom line.
